Abstract:The Taihe Road Elevated Bridge is located in the north section of the S20 Outer Ring Expressway. Based on the bridge inspection results in recent years, there are the significant safety hazards in its hollow slab beams. In order to ensure the structure safety of the bridge, it is planned to carry out the repair of the Taihe Road Elevated Bridge during the fully enclosed construction window period of the S20 Outer Ring Tunnel. Based on the bridge inspection report and on-site situation investigation, the causes and patterns of the diseases are analyzed. Finally, the repair scheme for the integrated replacement of the superstructure is determined, which is a rare case of integrated beam replacement in China. The engineering boundary conditions are complex and the construction period is limited. The meticulous planning is carried out in terms of design, construction, traffic organization and BIM. The effects of engineering implementation are good. The key issues in the engineering implementing process are summarized, which can be referenced for the similar projects.
