Abstract:The anti-heave stability analysis of narrow foundation pits is one of the urgent problems to be solved in foundation pit design. Further research on heave failure mode and stability verification methods of narrow foundation pits has the long-term significance for engineering safety and cost savings. Based on the strength reduction method, the Plaxis finite element software is used to simulate the heave failure of narrow foundation pits and to analyze the calculation results in detail. A new arc sliding failure mode for narrow foundation pits is proposed and the corresponding calculation formula for the anti-heave safety factor is derived. Based on the case analysis of a narrow foundation pit project in the deep soft soil area of Fuzhou, the rationality of the formula is further verified.
