Abstract:In order to increase the mid-span span and control the costs, the composite beams are used as the girders for many bridges, that is, the main span is the steel girder and the side span is the concrete beam, which leads to the inevitable existence of a steel-concrete transition section at the junction of the two materials. The goal is to simplify the structure and weight of the transition section as much as possible under the premise of ensuring the reliable force transmission. Combined with a composite beam suspension bridge project, a lightweight steel-concrete transition section structure is designed, which is lighter in weight, simpler in structure and easier to construct than the traditional transition section. The three-dimensional nonlinear analysis of the steel-concrete transition section is carried out using finite element method to verify the reliability of its force transmission, which can provide design reference for other similar projects.
