Abstract:Against the backdrop of the rapid development of the tourism industry in characteristic small towns, the construction of ecological artificial waterfalls that combine ecological benefits and landscape value has become an important exploration direction in the construction of new urbanization. Taking a practical project as an example, the aims are to resolve the problems of water source for newly constructed artificial waterfalls, and at the same time to meet the ecological requirements and engineering feasibility. Based on the regional position of the newly built artificial waterfall, the available water resources within the region are analyzed and three existing reservoirs in the region are selected as water sources for the newly built artificial waterfall. Considering the saving investment and engineering feasibility, the existing water conservancy infrastructures are fully utilized, and the optimal water diversion routes are selected and determined. Starting from the engineering background, the water diversion flow rates of water resources able to utilize in the region, the overall design scheme of the water diversion project, and the key node design are quantitatively analyzed. The practical projects are introduced in detail, which provides the reference for the similar projects.
