Abstract:Due to the fact that collapsible loess is highly prone to ground collapse, uneven settlement, cracks and other phenomena during the construction process, the determination of the bearing capacity of collapsible loess foundation has practical and feasible guiding significance for engineering. Based on the survey data of a rapid connection project in Shijiazhuang City, the technical principles of the standard penetration test (SPT) are systematically expounded, and the focus is on analyzing its application effectiveness in evaluating the bearing capacity of collapsible loess strata. Through 158 sets of experimental data, an empirical relationship between the SPT blow count (N) and the characteristic value (f??) of foundation bearing capacity suitable for collapsible loess in the Shijiazhuang area is derived. The research achievement can provide a technical reference for assessing the foundation bearing capacity in collapsible loess area in the Shijiazhuang region.
