Abstract:To solve the problems such as complex terrain, reservoir water level fluctuations and complex construction conditions faced in the construction of super major bridges across rivers in mountainous areas, a comprehensive consideration is given to the natural environment, engineering technology, socio-economy and other factors involved in the selection of bridge site. Through the multi-criteria decision analysis, geographic information system (GIS) and building information modeling (BIM) technology application, numerical simulation and experimental verification methods, and taking the Yunyang Shuangjiang Second Bridge in Chongqing as an engineering example, a study is conducted on the selection of bridge site for super major bridges across rivers in mountainous areas. Research shows that scientific and reasonable selection of bridge site is the key to ensure the safe, economical and efficient construction and operation of cross-river super major bridges in mountainous areas. The experience in the selection of bridge site for Yunyang Shuangjiang Second Bridge has important reference significance for similar projects.
