Abstract:The bearing stratum of the structures of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) constructed within the first and second terraces of the Yangtze River is mainly soft soil foundation. The foundation treatment is based on engineering geology, anti-floating water level and upper load by using the technologies such as shallow layer replacement, pile foundation or composite foundation. In order to select the foundation treatment schemes able to meet the technical, construction and economic requirements and ensure its applicability and cost performance, relying on the practical cases, from the perspective of engineering design, and based on the characteristics and functional requirements of the structures, three foundation treatment schemes of replacement method, pile foundation and composite foundation are comprehensively compared and selected. It is determined that the long spiral borehole pressure grouting pile composite foundation treatment scheme among these schemes is the optimal scheme. At the same time, by studying the design and construction of the long spiral borehole pressure grouting pile composite foundation treatment scheme, the key parameters and implementation essentials are extracted, which can provide the technical reference for the similar projects.
