Abstract:With the development of urban comprehensive transportation demand, in the context where the resources of transportation corridors in urban built-up areas are tight and there are common lanes between rapid rail transit and expressways, and combined with the case analysis of integrated elevated project, research is conducted on the engineering cases and overall layout forms of co-construct flat and stacked expressways and rapid rail transits. The analysis is conducted on the standard section and the station section. The advantages and disadvantages are analyzed from the aspects of traffic functions, land broadband, structural height, urban landscape, environmental impact, operational safety and construction period effects. An overall optimal layout scheme for the integrated co-construction of expressway and rail transit is proposed. This scheme can be suitable for the long-distance co-construction in the urban built-up area, and can enhance the comprehensive utilization of urban space, which achieves the goal of optimizing the comprehensive benefits of the two projects. The technical direction for further optimization of the stacked layout scheme is proposed.
