Abstract:To study the adaptability of prefabricated assembled bridge piers in high-intensity zones, the vibrating table tests are conducted on the structural specimens of a project in Hohhot. The test results of cast-in-place bridge piers and prefabricated bridge piers, as well as two types of prefabricated bridge piers with sleeves pre-embedded in the base slab and in the pier column are compared. The seismic performances of prefabricated assembled bridge piers are studied. During the test, the precast piers with sleeves pre-embedded in the base slab shows a high degree of consistency in seismic performances with the cast-in-place piers, providing the support for the subsequent promotion and application of precast assembled piers in high-intensity zones.
