Abstract:With the continuous development of urban areas in China, the density of metro lines has significantly increased. The construction activities within metro protection zones are subject to stringent restrictions, and the bridge construction is faced with the considerable challenges. The Qingfeng Bridge in Wuhan Qingshan Park is located within a metro safety control area, and a single-pylon single-span cable-stayed scheme is adopted. The bridge pylon is situated on the south bank, where the construction conditions are more favorable. By utilizing the vertical tension of the stayed cables, a spread foundation can be adopted for the north abutment in order to avoid the construction constraints. The design of pylon-beam separation system optimizes the structural stress and reduces the construction difficulty. The closed steel anchor frame at the pylon end is innovatively adopted to solve the problem of insufficient internal anchoring space for small-sized pylon columns and enhance the reliability of cable connections. The focus is on the landscape and architecture design of the bridge, which is blended perfectly with the surrounding environment. The bridge was completed in September 2023 and is in good operating condition, achieving good social benefits.
