Abstract:In the context of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, the transformation of urban spatial functions has put forward the higher requirements for transportation support. Taking Xujing Town, a typical pilot of comprehensive urban transformation in Shanghai as a research object, the relationship between high-quality public transportation and urban spatial development in the process of transformation from a traditional industrial town to a comprehensive urban area is studied. On the basis of analyzing the main problems in the spatial layout, resident travel characteristics and ground public transport system of this town, and referring some foreign typical practice cases, a "one-horizontal three-vertical" high-quality public transportation channel system and an integrated planning of supporting stops and spatial functions are proposed. And a phased implementation scheme is put forward. The construction of high-quality public transport channel will facilitate the integrated development of public transport and urban space, providing a reference for the integrated development of similar urban space in Shanghai.
