Abstract:To study the performance characteristics of surface-active warm-mixed SBS modified asphalt and explore its potential application in road engineering warm mixing technology, the conventional asphalt performance testing, dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), bending beam rheometer (BBR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and other tests are conducted to test its general properties, rheological properties and thermal stability. The results show that compared with SBS modified asphalt, the high-temperature performance of surface-active warm-mixed SBS modified asphalt changes little, the low-temperature performance decreases slightly, and the Brinell viscosity decreases by 8.94% at 135 ℃. Heating can cause the decomposition and weight loss of surface-active warm-mixed agents, but the rate of weight loss is closely related to the heating conditions and the environment. The low viscosity performance of surface-active warm-mixed SBS modified asphalt is maintained after 48 hours of heating. Research has confirmed that the surface-active warm-mixed SBS modified asphalt has the good potential of application, but the storage conditions should be controlled.
