Abstract:Given the increasing scarcity of land resources and critical transportation corridors, highway-railway parallel sections have become a typical configuration for comprehensive transportation corridors, making integrated highway-railway design increasingly prevalent. As highways and railways belong to separate engineering design systems, a critical challenge lies in how to implement collaborative optimization during the design process to reduce project scale, conserve land resources, minimize mutual interference, and enhance overall functionality. Using the parallel section project of the Yong-Jin-Qu-Shang Expressway (Jinhua Urban Section) and the Shanghai-Kunming Railway Outer Bypass Line in Zhejiang Province as an empirical case study, the the integrated design is focused on perspective. It systematically analyzes collaborative optimization strategies for key technologies in parallel sections, including horizontal spacing control, bridge span matching, traffic passage alignment, and drainage culvert coordination. The aim is to provide theoretical and practical references for similar engineering projects.
