Abstract:The Section 2 of the Jinhai Road (Yanggongzhong Road ~ East Side of Huadong Road) Reconstruction Project involves the construction of a long-span variable-width steel box girder bridge. This bridge spans the complex urban geographical conditions and rail transit facilities, making the construction challenging. The most challenging part of the project is the segmental assembly and hoisting construction of the steel box girder with the maximum span reaching 121 m and the width expanding from 25 m to 54 m sharply. To address this challenge, through refined simulation and the application of multiple innovative technologies, the problems of structural stability, hoisting accuracy and safety during the construction process are successfully solved. Firstly, by using BIM technology and finite element analysis, the assembly process of the steel box girder is modeled and simulated in three dimensions to optimize the hoisting sequence and force analysis, which ensures the accuracy and stability of the assembly process. Secondly, the advanced construction equipment such as SPMT short-distance shuttle module vehicle sets and computer-controlled hydraulic synchronous lifting devices are adopted to improve the construction efficiency and safety. Finally, combined with smart monitoring technology, the real-time monitoring and refined management of the entire construction process are achieved. The smooth progress of this project provides the technical references and practical experience for the construction of similar projects.
