Abstract:The urban road traffic system is complex in composition. As an important component of the urban road traffic system, traffic nodes play a key supporting role in the operational efficiency of the entire road network due to the traffic transfer functions. Taking the scheme design of the Chengdu Tiedong Express Line as an example, the relevant road functions and the mainstream traffic direction of the nodes are analyzed. It is proposed that in the built-up area of a city, when the construction of the road traffic system is restricted by spatial conditions such as surrounding land and existing facilities, with the systematic design concept of "decomposing flow direction and system implementation", the efficient traffic conversion is achieved through the systematic design of the surrounding road network and traffic nodes. At the same time, a systematic design scheme for road traffic that meets the requirements of urban spatial development and the demands of traffic conversion is proposed, providing a reference for the systematic design of road traffic in built-up areas in the future.
