Abstract:In recent years, with the rapid development of water transportation, the collision accidents between ships and bridges have been occurring continuously. Therefore, how to reinforce existing bridges to prevent ship collisions is becoming increasingly important. Considering that the current standards have relatively few provisions regarding the anti-ship collision reinforcement of existing highway bridges and the lack of analysis on the key and difficult points of the project, and combined with the engineering practice cases and relevant specifications, a technical path and system for the reinforcement of existing highway bridges against ship collisions are proposed. The process is explained through a project case, and the MIDAS Civil software is used for structural verification after the ship-collision reinforcement. The results indicate that the technical path and reinforcement measures proposed are scientifically reasonable, which can provide the guidance and reference for subsequent anti-ship collision reinforcement projects.
