Abstract:To study the application of prefabricated bridge abutments in bridge engineering, based on the common connection methods of prefabricated bridge abutments at home and abroad, and by comparing and analyzing, the slot connection scheme is selected. Combined with an engineering case in Zhuhai, the design essentials and assembly process of the structures are expounded in detail. A refined model is established by using a finite element software model is established to verify the stress state and safety of the connection area under design loads, and a comparative analysis is conducted on the conventional cast-in-place structures under the same conditions. The results show that all indicators for both reinforcement and concrete meet the code requirements, and the mechanical properties of the slot connection is comparable to that of the conventional cast-in-place structure, which also has the advantages of high construction error tolerance and simple on-site operation, and has good promotion and application value in the connection between prefabricated abutments and pile foundations.
