Abstract:As an important urban infrastructure, the underground pipe networks are increasingly plagued by problems such as aging, leakage and safety hazards. The renovation and reconstruction of pipe networks have become the key tasks for upgrading the urban quality and ensuring the livelihood safety of the people. By sorting out the current situation of urban underground pipe networks, the technical and management challenges faced in the renovation and reconstruction of the pipe networks, such as unclear baseline data, limited space, coordination difficulties and insufficient funds are analyzed, and the successful experience in the renovation and reconstruction of pipe networks is summarized to form the replicable mechanisms. Taking the urban renewal as an opportunity, a "coordinated underground pipeline reconstruction" mechanism is established, and the renewal strategy is proposed from the aspects of physical examination and diagnosis, overall planning, technology empowerment, diversified financing and standard construction, which provides a guarantee for the renovation, reconstruction, scientific management, safe operation and sustainable development of urban underground pipe networks.
