Abstract:Taking a beam string-like pedestrian bridge as the research object, the design concept and structural system of this bridge type are introduced. The focus is on the overall design of the bridge and the key design points of its critical structural components and joints, including the arched girder, rigid cables, diagonal rods, inclined pylons, and connection joints between rigid cables, girders and inclined pylons. A finite element model is established to conduct a stress analysis on this innovative beam string-like structure. The results show that all stress indicators of the bridge meet the requirements, the structural stress is reasonable, and the design is light and concise, which has the advantages of small construction height, better durability and low maintenance difficulty, and can provide some references for the application and promotion of such beam string-like pedestrian bridges in the future.
