Abstract:With the vigorous advancement of resilient urban construction in Shanghai, the renovation of poles and boxes, as an important part of the work, is implemented simultaneously in the road construction. As the important infrastructure that combines urban transportation functions and citizen service functions, the urban trunk roads are also the key areas for the implementation of pole and box renovation. The existing urban trunk roads have the characteristics of complex facilities and high traffic operation pressure, making the renovation of poles and boxes rather difficult. Taking the pole and box renovation project in the ground section of the Shanghai East-West Channel Expansion Project as an example, the research and analysis are conducted on the key difficulties in the implementation of this project. The countermeasures are given and the effectiveness is also summarized.
