Abstract:In response to a timber-arched structural antique landscape corridor bridge built in 2015, its safety and seismic performance are systematically evaluated through a combination of on-site investigation and finite element simulation. The bridge is constructed by traditional craftsmanship, its main arch is composed of a stable structure formed by the interweaving of "three-section-sapling" and "five-section-sapling" systems, its piers and abutments are a mixture of reinforced concrete and stone structures, and its superstructure is a timber-frame corridor house. The focus is on analyzing the mechanical response of the structure under symmetric and asymmetric loads. The results show that the structural system of the bridge is rated as Class A in terms of safety, and the seismic performance meets the requirements of the relevant codes, which also provides a technical reference for the maintenance and evaluation of similar timber-arched corridor bridges.
