Abstract:On-site recycling of waste concrete can reduce the external transportation and discharge of concrete waste from construction sites. The processed recycled materials can replace natural sand and gravel for construction, which has high environmental protection application value under the national “dual carbon” policy. However, the uncertainty in the initial cost input and output has greatly restricted the application of this technology. Taking a on-site recycling of waste concrete from a large-scale foundation pit project in Shanghai as a case study, the economic benefits of on-site recycling of waste concrete through its amounts of waste concrete removed and the backfilling recycling are analyzed. And it is compared with the traditional external transportation and disposal methods to calculate the benefit balance point of cost input and output between the two, providing a reference for the on-site recycling of waste concrete in similar projects.
