Abstract:To address the challenge of exhaust pollution control in highway tunnels with mixed pedestrian and vehicle traffic, this study systematically evaluated the purification efficiency and performance of TiO2 photocatalytic coatings applied to sidewall decorative materials through simulated tunnel environments. The experiment employed an organic-inorganic composite crosslinking technology to prepare a nano-TiO? coating, which demonstrated significant degradation capabilities for NO2 and SO2 under illumination with a 16 W LED light source, achieving practical purification efficiencies of 13.0% and 7.2% after 12 hours, respectively. Cleaning performance tests demonstrated that the superhydrophobic surface properties of the coating enhanced its oil removal rate to 76.74%, while maintaining a well hydrophilicity after immersion in acid/base solutions, confirming its excellent anti-fouling and corrosion resistance. This technology can be directly sprayed onto tunnel inner walls, effectively reducing pollutant concentrations in mixed-traffic road tunnels, saving ventilation energy consumption, and providing reference for green tunnel operation and maintenance.
