Abstract:Combined with the station house design and the station construction scale, the construction conditions and current challenges of the square in front of East Huizhou Railway Station are analyzed from the aspects of the overall layout, traffic organization and landscape design of the square in front of the station. The design principles, design schemes and practical achievements of this square are expounded. The results indicate that based on the TOD development model, the form of a three-dimensional elevated square is adopted. The multi-element three-dimensional spatial pattern constructed through reasonable layout can solve the height difference predicament and compensate the lack of urban supporting facilities and functions. By adhering to the principles of public transport priority and pedestrian-vehicle separation, an anticlockwise one-way internal traffic circulation system is established within the square. Coupled with well-planned peripheral traffic organization, an efficient and convenient regional traffic organization system is formed, achieving pedestrian-vehicle separation and effective transfer. Through the eco-friendly design and cultural landscape shaping, a richly layered high-quality space can be created, the integration of ecology and humanity can be achieved, and the landscape effect and image of the surrounding space can be enhanced.
