Abstract:In recent years, with the continuous promotion of sponge city construction and the requirements for anti-skid and noise reduction functions on urban roads, a large number of drainage asphalt pavements have been applied to high-grade roads. The main functions of these pavements are to improve the driving safety and reduce the traffic accidents. However, the control effect on rainwater runoff should be taken into consideration simultaneously in the construction of sponge cities. In order to clarify the runoff control efficiency of drainage asphalt pavements, by calculating, simulating and analyzing the surface runoff generation of drainage asphalt pavement under the conditions of different rainfall intensities, thickness of the permeable layer and porosity of the permeable asphalt mixture, the impact of the above parameter changes on surface runoff generation is analyzed. The requirements for the connection between drainage asphalt pavement and drainage facilities and the methods for improving the total runoff control considering economy are proposed. The research conducted plays a significant role in ensuring the control of surface runoff under designed rainfall conditions and optimizing the design of drainage asphalt pavement.
