Abstract:Taking the S32 Highway Bridge Anti-overturning Reinforcement Project as the research background, and aiming at the mechanism of overturning failure, the advantages and disadvantages of reinforcement forms such as setting buckles between the superstructures, weighting the superstructure, installing anti-pull-out pins on the upper and lower structures, and adding auxiliary supports are compared and analyzed. At the same time, the factors such as construction difficulty, economical efficiency and maintenance are comprehensively considered. The structural implementation form is selected, and it is determined that the addition of steel bent cap would be the recommended reinforcement scheme for this project. According to the calculation results, after the reinforcement of some continuous beams, a relatively small negative reaction force will still occur on the side piers. The design takes into account the tensile capacity of the original bearings to ensure that the bearings will not be tensioned and cavitied, which not only meets the requirements of the specifications, but also effectively controls the scope of reinforcement and the scale of the project, reducing the engineering cost.
