Abstract:As a core part of urban transportation infrastructure, it is necessary to conduct specialized research on the carbon emissions of urban bridges due to their high material consumption, high carbon emission indicators and urban construction environment. A life-cycle carbon emission calculation model is established for urban bridges based on the emission factor method and life-cycle assessment (LCA). Taking the Shanghai S3 Hufeng Expressway Engineering Project (prefabricated assembly method) as an example, the carbon emissions over its entire life cycle are calculated. Finally, based on the calculation results, the carbon reduction strategies are proposed, such as extending the service life as much as possible, improving the recovery rate of steel, applying the prefabricated assembly technology, applying the new technologies and renewable energy during operation and maintenance, providing reference for the low-carbon design, construction and operation of follow-up urban bridge projects.
