Abstract:Aiming to address the common industry challenges in municipal engineering management, such as information fragmentation at various stages, severe data silos, and difficulties in controlling costs throughout the entire life cycle, by establishing a refined management and control system integrating building information modeling (BIM) and the digital twin technology, a “5×4” full-cycle refined control matrix model is innovatively established, and the intelligent technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI recognition are integrated. A closed-loop management mechanism of “pre-control, in-process adjustment and post-feedback” is implemented in major projects such as the Jinan Gongye Road (N) Expressway and the Peijiaying Rail Transit Hub Station. The empirical research demonstrates that the system makes the first-inspection qualification rate for engineering quality enhanced over 98.5%, the investment costs reduced by 15.7%, the annual operation and maintenance costs decreased by 5.2%, and the safety incident rate lowered by 60% year-on-year. The research outcomes establish a replicable paradigm for refined management and control of municipal engineering, which achieves the significant improvements in engineering quality and comprehensive benefits, and provides a new technical path and management methodology for the digital transformation of the industry.
