Abstract:The Third Tunnel of Yangcheng West Lake in Suzhou is planned to form a convenient link between the core area at the lake west of Suzhou Industrial Park and the core area of Xiangcheng District, which is of great significance for improving the arterial road network of urban area in Suzhou and promoting the integrated development of the metropolitan area in Suzhou. Based on the upper-level planning and construction conditions, referring to relevant standards and experience, and combined with quantitative analysis, the overall scheme of the project is systematically studied including overall layout, construction scale, construction methods and cross-section solutions, laying a technical foundation for subsequent engineering design. By reviewing the research approach and key technical points of the overall scheme, the references are provided for similar cross-regional tunnel projects.
