Abstract:Taking an arch-beam composite system pedestrian bridge in Taiyuan as the background project, it is proposed that in the design innovation of pedestrian bridges, the emphasis should be placed on the overall layout and refined structural design schemes that are adapted to local conditions. The traditional model of full-width spanning over ground roads is abandoned in the overall layout of the pedestrian bridge. The main bridge is only constructed within the scope of motor vehicle lanes, and its both sides are smoothly connected by downward staircases, which not only achieves a landscape transition, but also reduces the land occupation and the staircase scale, simultaneously improving the structural performance, economic efficiency and aesthetic appearance. The structural design is focused on the problems of human-induced vibration in lightweight steel structures. 2 pairs of flexible diagonal suspenders are designed after comparing 3 different diagonal suspender schemes. The vibration issue is fundamentally avoided by optimizing the natural frequency. Meanwhile, the overall layout and the superstructure and substructure are systematically expounded, and a multi-dimensional balance between function and aesthetics is achieved, providing the technical reference for similar projects.
