Abstract:To solve the problem of combined sewer overflow pollution in Huludao City, the InfoWorks ICM software is used to construct a coupled model for drainage and waterlogging prevention. Typical annual rainfall is selected to evaluate the effect of controlling combined sewer overflow pollution before and after the construction of the storage tanks, including the frequency and volume of overflow. The simulation results show that after the construction of the storage tanks, the annual overflow volume of the overflow outlet at the location of the storage tank of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in an old district is decreased by 83.8%, and the overflow frequency is decreased from 18 times to 8 times. The annual overflow volume of the overflow outlet at the location of the storage tank of WWTP in the new district is decreased by 75.1%, and the overflow frequency is decreased from 18 times to 8 times. The overflow control target of the combined system has been effectively achieved, that is, the average annual overflow frequency of the combined system discharge outlet is controlled at 6 to 8 times, and the overflow volume control rate is not less than 70% after the construction of the storage tanks.
