Abstract:To reveal the core principles of settlement of rural highway roadbeds within full life cycle and optimize the low-cost easy-to-operate prevention measures suitable for rural highways, taking the expressway in City A as a reference sample, and focusing on the full life cycle of roadbed design, construction and operation, the specific manifestations and secondary hazards of settlement diseases are analyzed, and the targeted treatment technologies and full-life-cycle prevention measures are refined and adjusted according to the actual conditions of rural highways. It is clarified that the roadbed settlement mainly manifests in three types of deep cracks reflected on the pavement, slope sliding settlement and large-area continuous settlement, which can lead to structural safety risks and a sharp increase in maintenance costs. Low-cost treatment schemes suitable for rural highways have been developed for different types of settlement. The proposed measures including lightweight geological investigation and parameter optimization in the design stage, quality control in the construction stage, and simple maintenance and observation in the operation stage can effectively reduce the risk of rural highway roadbed settlement and provide the reliable transportation support for rural revitalization.
