Abstract:To study the design method of combining overhead line undergrounding with old area renovation in Shanghai, its feasibility is discussed from the perspective of specific areas. An overall scheme integrating the comprehensive planning, stakeholder balance, technical standards and citizen intervention is proposed to achieve the best overall benefits. Based on the GIS platform and digital assistance, the integration of underground construction and urban development are committed, and its research and simulation are conducted. The results show that the overhead lines are listed in the urban renewal projects. At the same time of enhancing the public spatial quality, the problems of underground pipeline usage and greenery restoration are solved. The integrated design concept promotes the multi-party participation and technical support, and then the project implementation rate and public acceptance are enhanced, providing a reference idea for other cities in China and those facing the same predicaments.
