Abstract:In Shenyang City, the current scale of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is 400 000 m3/d, which adopts two-stages aerated bio-filter as biological treatment process, and its effluent quality meets the national secondary discharge standard. In order to meet the environmental protection requirements, it is proposed to carry out the upgrading and reconstruction at the original site to improve the effluent quality to the first-level A standard. At the same time, the construction must be carried out without water supply interruption during the reconstruction. In the upgrading and reconstruction project, the existing bio-filters are reconstructed to three-stages bio-filters, and the high efficiency settling tank with micro-sand is adopted as advanced treatment process. This project is implemented in stages. The emergency treatment system is built in advance to ensure the sewage treatment during the overall process system reconstruction so as to achieve the construction without water supply interruption. After the upgrading and reconstruction, the effluent quality of WWTP can meet the standard stably. The total investment of the project is 647.272 9 million yuan, the unit treating cost is 1.64 yuan/m3, and the land use index per ton of water is 0.18 m2/(m3·d?1).
