Abstract:Based on the Shanghai Jungong Road Expressway Project, the design experience of hot-rolled heavy H-section composite beam bridge is summarized. Compared with traditional welded steel plate composite beams, the hot-rolled heavy H-section steel exhibits the significant advantages, including stable quality, no-welding residual stresses and rapid construction. Although its steel consumption is slightly higher than that of welded steel plate beams, the processing time is significantly reduced by nearly half, and the welding and inspection workloads are substantially decreased, resulting in better overall economic benefits. This method aligns with the direction of green and efficient bridge construction and demonstrates the broad application prospects.
