Abstract:The connection of the ecological shoreline in Yuandang is a necessity for the ecological and green construction of the Yangtze River Delta Ecological and Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone. The construction goal is to restore the regional habitat conditions, enhance the lake water quality and improve the biodiversity while serving as a model for cultural tourism in the demonstration zone. To achieve this goal, firstly, a composite ecological shoreline is designed and a two-level flood control system is established to effectively reduce the height of flood control wall and create the habitat conditions. Secondarily, the underwater buffer terrain, lakeside wetlands and terrestrial woodlands are constructed, and the Jiangnan cultural elements and cultural tourism needs are integrated to achieve the connection of ecological green shoreline. Finally, the health index evaluations and the relative index assessments are conducted. The results show that the achievements of composite ecological shorelines are obvious in the construction of ecological landscape and the restoration of water ecosystem, which can play a leading and exemplary role in the water ecological restoration of the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone.
