Abstract:To address the overloading operation of a rainwater pumping station and road waterlogging in the urban area of Xingping City, Shaanxi Province, a sustainable renewal model for drainage and waterlogging prevention facilities was explored under the condition of maintaining the existing scale of the pumping station, aiming to enhance urban resilience. A regulation and storage wetland with the model of “regulation and storage+water quality purification+landscape enhancement +water resource utilization” was constructed based on the sponge city concept. By leveraging the dynamic interaction between the existing drainage system and the newly constructed storage facilities, the peak rainwater flow was effectively reduced, alleviating the operational pressure on the pumping station. Additionally, the treated tailwater from the sewage treatment plant was incorporated into the recycling system, simultaneously achieving water quality purification, landscape enhancement, and water resource utilization. The results demonstrate that this model effectively improves urban drainage and waterlogging prevention capacity, enhances regional water environment conditions, and increases water resource utilization efficiency, providing a reference for similar cities to update drainage and waterlogging prevention facilities and enhance urban resilience under limited conditions.
