Abstract:To respond to the construction requirements of the Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone and implement the specifications of the Technical Standard for Green Highways (DG/TJ08-2348—2020), and on the basis of meeting the demands of highway function improvement and traffic growth, the concept of sustainable development should be implemented. The Shanghai G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway Widening and Reconstruction Project is centered on the core principles of "resource conservation, environmental protection, energy saving and efficiency improvement, quality enhancement". Considering the possible impacts on the environment and resources throughout the entire life cycle of the project and adopting the scientific and location-specific design measures, a full-life-cycle green highway design system is established, and the quantitative evaluation is conducted. The comprehensive evaluation score reaches 90.5 points, fully meeting the specification requirements with innovations achieved in some core indicators, which forms a replicable model for the green transformation of the expressway reconstruction and expansion projects, providing a scientific reference for similar projects.
