Abstract:To address the dual challenges of intense pressure on the disposal of urban construction waste and a shortage of subgrade filling materials, relying on the Hankou Street Project in the Qujiang CBD of Xi'an, the application technology of construction waste in the subgrade of urban roads is explored. In light of the current road conditions, geological features and design requirements, a modified replacement and filling method is adopted for the research with a composite modified filler consisting of construction waste, plain soil and lime. Through layered filling and compaction degree detection in the on-site test section, the results show that the composite modified filler can meet the design requirements for compaction degree, indicating that the modified filler can effectively improve the physical properties of construction waste. During and after the subgrade construction, the detection of key indicators such as foundation bearing capacity, compaction degree and deflection value shows that all indicators satisfy the design specifications, which proves that the composite modified filler is applicable for subgrade filling. This scheme realizes the resource utilization of construction waste, reduces the pollution caused by waste transportation and the resource consumption, improves the economic efficiency of the project, and provides a technical reference for similar subgrade treatment projects of urban roads.
