Abstract:The Songjiang Hub is the largest comprehensive transportation hub in the southwest of Shanghai. After the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway, the annual passenger flow in its core area (SJC1-0017 Unit) has exceeded 20 million person-times. Coupled with the traffic demand generated by the development of 4.5639 million square meters of land, the diversion of road networks has become a key factor restricting the efficient operation of hub and the coordinated development of the city. Based on the current traffic survey data of the core area, combined with two key nodes such as the completion of the road network in 2027 and the full development of land plots in 2032, the TransCAD traffic model and VISSIM simulation tool are applied to construct a diversion strategy of “stratified connection + functional adaptation + intelligent empowerment” from three dimensions of road network system optimization, multi-mode traffic collaboration and implementation mechanism guarantee. The research results show that the optimization scheme can reduce the average saturation of road sections in the core area during peak hours from 0.85 to 0.68 in 2032, and the delay at key intersections can be reduced by more than 30%. The replicable practical path is provided for the diversion of road network in the core area of super-large hubs.
