Abstract:In response to the problems such as overly dense openings, lateral conflicts and drainage connections that arise when highways in urbanized areas possess both passage and street attributes, the design strategies are refined. The comprehensive land use and traffic data are studied and divided into units of 0.5~1.0 km to complete the scene classification, and an index system of "normative constraints, operational safety and implementation environment" is constructed. On this basis, the check of horizontal and vertical combination and speed coordination, as well as the optimization of cross-sectional traffic separation and slow-traffic continuity are carried out. And the drainage of intersection groups, entrances and exits, and synthetic slopes is integrated to reduce the risks of conflict points and waterlogging and to improve the operational efficiency and the slow-traffic safety, which can enhance the safety and service level of highways in urbanized areas without a significant increase in land use and construction cost, thus providing a reference for similar projects.
