Abstract:To meet the dual core demands of urban landscape bridge transportation functions and the display of urban artistic images, while dealing with the complex spatial boundary influence brought about by the plane collinearity of the metro shield and the bridge structure, and taking the newly-built Donglianhe Bridge on Pugang Avenue in the Lingang Special Area in Shanghai as an example, the design methodology and engineering application of steel arch-beam composite structures in landscape bridges of urban gateway are initially discussed. Through the optimization and comparison of structural landscape expressions, the steel arch-beam composite structure is identified as the bridge design scheme. The design concept of “cloud soaring” is innovatively integrated into the steel arch structure, achieving the in-depth coupling of landscape aesthetics and mechanical functions. The proposed design ideas and implementation paths provide a practical paradigm characterized by safety, economy and applicability for small-span and medium-span urban landscape bridges, which enrich the technical system for structural type selection and landscape integration in similar projects.
