Abstract:In the process of urbanization, the first-class highways undertake both through-traffic and urban traffic distribution functions. The traffic congestion in urban sections is prominent, and the expressway reconstruction has become a key measure. When dealing with the connection between the starting and ending points of two rapid expressway first-class highways in an urbanized area, it is difficult to identify the main traffic flow directions due to the complex traffic at the connection node, and the node schemes are hard to determine. Aiming at the connection node schemes of starting and ending points of expressway first-class highways, a technical research route for the scheme of “basic element analysis, traffic characteristic analysis and node scheme” is proposed to comprehensively consider the basic elements of economy, population, land development and planning, to conduct the prediction of traffic volume, and to analyze the traffic turning characteristics at the nodes. The adaptive and feasible connection schemes are determined through multi-scheme comparison in combination with construction conditions. Taking the Jiashan Avenue Project in Jiashan County as an example, the rationality of the research route is verified, which can provide a reference for similar projects.
