Abstract:In China, as the infrastructure undergoes a profound transformation from large-scale construction to a stage that emphasizes both construction and maintenance, the bridge repair and reinforcement have become a core task in ensuring road network safety, extending structural service life and improving service efficiency. The cost control for bridge repair and reinforcement projects should be strengthened during the preliminary decision-making and design stages. Research is conducted on inspection assessment, and techno-economic comparison of multiple schemes. And a dynamic cost control system is established. The preliminary decision-making and design stages are identified as critical to cost management, enabling the integration of technical performance and economic rationality. Accordingly, the suggestions are proposed to enhance the source control, deepen the scheme comparison, and promote the full-cycle dynamic management, which provides references for improving the investment efficiency and refined cost management of bridge repair and reinforcement projects.
