Abstract:With the rise of digitalization and smartization in recent years, the intelligent upgrading and transformation of urban drainage systems has also become a new growth point in the industry. Taking the construction of a smart drainage system in a coastal city in the south as a case study, this paper summarizes and analyzes the common issues in drainage systems and their underlying causes. On this basis, it proposes the construction principles, overall framework, network topology architecture, and key construction components for smart drainage systems. Finally, innovative aspects of the project are distilled, such as the establishment of a three-dimensional digital twin model for drainage pipelines, providing a visual technical pathway for intelligent operation and maintenance; and the development of a hydraulic model for drainage pipelines, enabling early detection and warning of risks like operational overload, pipeline blockages, and sewage overflows. The findings can provide practical reference and technical support for promoting the informatization, intelligence, and integrated management level of the drainage industry.
