Abstract:Carbon reduction and emission mitigation have not only risen to the level of national strategy but also become a key research and development focus across various industries. Taking the asphalt road engineering field as an example, carbon reduction and emission mitigation in road materials and construction have emerged as primary research directions, yielding certain achievements. However, there is a scarcity of studies on the full life-cycle carbon emissions and decision-making in asphalt mixtures. Based on the carbon emission inventory and calculation factors across five stages, including material preparation, operation and maintenance, and demolition disposal, three carbon emission weight calculation methods: the proportion method, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the comparative analysis method are discussed and analyzed in this paper. Ultimately, the proportion method which is simple to calculate and provides intuitive results is selected as the optimal approach. Combined with the carbon emission inventory and calculation factors, methods for material preparation, production mixing are analyzed and proposed in this paper.The carbon reduction and emission reduction measures for construction paving, operation maintenance, and demolition disposal are aimed at providing some reference for the industry to fulfill social responsibility of carbon reduction and emission reduction.
