Abstract:Aiming at the engineering problem that the landing section of the approach bridge of Ningbo Zhongxing Bridge is restricted in both structural height and lateral width when crossing a transverse road, a design scheme of a 30-m simple-supported steel box channel beam bridge is adopted to meet the requirements of clearance under the bridge and the building boundary limitation. Two calculation models, namely the bar system model and the beam-slab element model, are established by using MIDAS Civil to verify the mechanical behavior and deformation of the structure. The results show that all indexes of the channel beam meet the code requirements, and the bridge deck can effectively bear the bending moment and torque of the girder, thereby improving its mechanical performance of the girder. This design scheme successfully resolves the boundary limitation at the engineering site, achieving the excellent technical and engineering benefits, which can provide a reference for the design of bridge engineering under similar clearance-limited conditions.
