Abstract:To improve the quality of pedestrian transfer facilities in the rail transit of Beijing, the quality of passenger travel should be ensured. On the basis of analyzing the usage needs of pedestrian transfers, the typical problems of pedestrian transfer facilities in rail transit are summarized through on-site research, such as the need for improvement in station squares and ancillary facilities, incomplete pedestrian crossing facilities, unreasonable barrier-free facilities, and poor system coordination. The design concept of “slow traffic priority, age friendliness, low-carbon durability” for pedestrian transfer facilities and the renovation focus on “highlighting people-oriented, strengthening barrier-free design, and improving facility quality” are clarified. The optimization and improvement measures for pedestrian transfer facilities in rail transit are proposed from four aspects of station square and its ancillary facilities, pedestrian crossing facilities, barrier-free facilities, and system coordination.
