Abstract:The Quanzhou Jinjiang Tunnel is an important channel connecting Fengze District and Jinjiang City. Its engineering scale is large, the geological conditions involved are complex and the construction risks are relatively high. Therefore, the selection of the route needs to take into account various control factors along the line. To determine the route scheme, firstly, an in-depth analysis is conducted on the core route selection control elements such as the urban planning layout on both sides of the Jinjiang River estuary, the current status of the waterway, the distribution of environmental sensitive points, and the complex geological composition so as to determine the corridor of the line. And then, based on the selected corridor, the location of the cross-river point is comprehensively considered, and a route scheme that the starting point connects to the coastal major passage and the end point connects to Fenghai Road is proposed. Finally, a multi-dimensional comprehensive comparison is conducted around this route scheme, and the key indicators such as technical difficulty and engineering risks, geological adaptability, environmental impact, influence on waterways, estimated construction period, operational conditions and construction costs are specially evaluated. Ultimately, the undersea tunnel scheme is recommended.
