Abstract:Based on value engineering theory, a function-cost analysis matrix for four typical colored asphalt pavement technologies, namely hot/warm-mixed colored asphalt concrete, cold-paved colored epoxy asphalt concrete, colored emulsified asphalt slurry seal/micro-surfacing, and thin-layer cold-coated polymer anti-slip coating is built. The quantitative functional evaluation coefficients involving chromatic performance, mechanical performance, safety performance and construction convenience are put forward. Combined with the initial cost coefficient and full life cycle cost coefficient, the value coefficients of each technology during the construction period and full life cycle are quantitatively evaluated. After clarifying the value characteristics of different technologies, a scenario-based selection scheme is proposed. The quantitative assessment method studied and constructed provides a scientific decision-making tool for the selection of colored asphalt pavement technology and has reference significance for promoting the standardization development of the industry.
